Dear Mike:
I wanted you to know that the United Nations NGO Voting Academy comprised of highly respected United Nations NGOs, such as Rotary International, Pathways to Peace, and Sister Cities International has named Indianapolis as one of the “Top 5 Most Positive Communities in the World”.
We would love to have you a share this exciting news with your partner organizations. Your commitment to providing strategic resources to businesses in Indianapolis with your experienced professionals had a lot to do with Indianapolis ’high finish. To put the Indianapolis community’s Top 5 finish for the United Nations NGO Positive Peace Award into perspective, it means that Indianapolis has been voted this high by an international organization with 33,000 clubs in over 200 countries (Rotary), an international community program with over 2,700 participating communities (SCI), and the coordinator of over 4,000 non-governmental organizations tied to the United Nations through the Culture of Peace Initiative. What a great third party endorsement of Indianapolis! This is something that the entire community should be extremely proud to celebrate.
Attached is an official Top 5 Finalist logo that the City of Indianapolis may use. I have also included a style and use guideline document to assist your web site and print publication developers. Also attached is a fact sheet on the award.
As you and I have discussed, the Celebrate Positive Indianapolis community activation plan is already under development and we would love to help tell the positive stories of Indianapolis we often don’t hear in the news.
Thanks again for all you do to make Indianapolis one of the Top 5 most positive communities in the world in which to live.
